Housing is a social commodity and this is the place human beings spend most of their time. It goes beyond the physical house to en-campus the open space that defines the human life and interactions. The interpretation of people’s culture and way of life into the built environment is therefore critical. The planning and detailing is paramount for this to be achieved. Client participation is very critical and engaging qualified, mature and experienced experts determines the outcome. Architects require being patient to the clients and have a listening ear. This is not where to make the money but where to express Architecture. The time spent in designing housing developments and supervising their construction is enormous.
